Freedom IS being able to say what you want, when you want (within reason of course!). We want to allow everyone to speak their mind, but if you have something to say with an environmental twist we'll try to give it some wings!

I've made a living being close to the water, living near it, feeding off it, and (more or less) making a career off it. I'd like to say my career and the environment have thrived under my watch, but I regret such is not really the case...not yet anyway!

Welcome to a new dedicated forum to speak out about environmental issues! Hopefully, this will be a place to cultivate some great ideas for environmental problems found worldwide. Most of the focus will be on aquatics issues only because the guy in charge brings a career of experience with freshwater and marine landscape. The majority of discussion will be around Washington State waters and the northwest United States, but we also want to include input from folks on a global scale.

Any topics will be welcome...water quality, development, global warming, endangered species, habitat, aquaculture, mining, to name a few.
The expertise on these environmental topics come from a civil service career spanning 3 decades and three state agencies. The information produced here is generally from information gathered in the course of actual in-the-field frontline (some might call it "trench warfare") experience.
